The Short Version

Your data is yours. We don’t sell it. We don’t share it with people you didn’t choose. We built this to protect you, not to watch you.

What We Collect

When you use The Advocate, we store:

  • What you tell us: Your conversations, notes, documents, and anything you save in your Vault.
  • Account basics: Your name, email, and how to contact you.
  • Usage info: When you log in and what features you use (so we can make things work better).

What We Don’t Do

  • We don’t sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
  • We don’t show ads. There’s no advertising here.
  • We don’t let others see your private conversations. What you tell The Advocate stays with The Advocate unless you choose to share it.

Who Can See What

Only you can see:

  • Your private conversations with The Advocate
  • Your Vault contents
  • Your personal notes

You control what gets shared with:

  • Your caseworker
  • Your GAL (Guardian ad Litem)
  • Schools or other services

We will never share your information with foster parents, group home staff, or anyone else without your explicit permission—unless there is an immediate threat to your life or someone else’s.

The Safety Exception

If you tell us you’re planning to hurt yourself or someone else, or if someone is hurting you right now, we may need to get help involved. This isn’t about getting you in trouble. It’s about keeping you alive.

We’ll be transparent with you if this happens.

Your Data, Your Control

You can:

  • Download everything we have about you
  • Delete your account and your data
  • See what information we’ve shared and with whom

Your history doesn’t disappear when you leave the system. It stays yours.

Security

Your data is encrypted. That means even if someone broke into our servers, they’d see gibberish, not your life.
